A few words about

OUR HISTORY

Before Middleton community trust became a charity and the charity store became the best non-profit furniture store on the planet. Darryl Walsh decided that after spending time on the streets of Manchester after finding himself homeless he wanted to give something back to the world and help others who find themselves hungry or homeless and not have even the very basics. Middleton community trust was just an idea at this point but it was always so much more than just an idea…….

Middleton Community Trust became a registered uk charity in 2011 here is our official registration number 1142972. Our focus is on the prevention of poverty in our community , and we provide sleeping bags and basic essentials for the homeless of Manchester. Our charity works in partnership with Tescos and lidl who donate surplus food to us which we provide to those in need.

Since our charity Middleton community trust began its mission to help in the fight against poverty and hunger in our UK cities , we have had help from many great companies who realise by helping charities like ourselves there helping make a huge difference to the world. We receive a $10000 google adwords advertising grant from google each month which allows us to spread the word about what we do.

The charity store was launched a unique non-profit furniture store  raising funds for the homeless by selling unique and amazing pieces of furniture lovingly crafted and restored from old unwanted furniture destined for the landfill site.

The charity store launched a brand new initiative and the mission is to reduce unemployment through the provision of training and work experience in skills training in traditional craft, restoration basic DIY, upcycling and entrepreneurship and business skills.
